EVENTS: extended placement attorney trainings

Trainings are being organized by PILI and others at a local and national level for attorneys serving in extended public interest law placements.  Information about those trainings will be availble here.

The Chicago Bar Foundation and PILI are hosting a training for Attorneys in Extended Public Interest Law Placements.  Please join us for a brown-bag lunch for deferred associates in Chicago on October 21, 2009 at 12:00 at the Chicago Bar Association (321 S. Plymouth Ct.). As you learn about your organization through your experience as a deferred associate, this session will explore the bigger picture in Chicago to provide further context to your experience. You will hear what other organizations are doing, how legal aid organizations are funded and how the Chicago legal community is coming together around access to justice. In addition to learning about how your organization fits into a bigger picture, you will have the opportunity to talk with your fellow deferred associates about common experiences and issues. Please e-mail Kelly Tautges at the CBF to confirm your attendance.

Contact PILI's Director of Programs, Michael Bergmann, by e-mail or at 312-832-5129 for more information about Extended Placement Attorney Trainings.
