PILI Alumni Program Committees & Chairs

 

Several committees have been established within the Alumni Program, including:

PILI Alumni E-newsletter: Nichole Cain, Chair
This committee develops and publishes the PILI Alumni Connection, an e-newsletter launched in January 2008 and distributed quarterly. The newsletter contains articles about the latest PILI and PBI developments, upcoming Alumni Programs, tips and information for alumni, agency spoptlights, and profiles of former PILI Interns and Fellows. PILI Alumni Programming: Katie Deibert, Chair
PILI will host three programs each year designed specifically for our alumni that will be planned and organizaed by this Committee.

The first program will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the offices of Kirkland & Ellis, located at 200 East Randolph Drive. The first hour will feature a presentation entitled, "Networking Skills for Lawyers" delivered by Susan Sneider, Director of Marketing and Business Development at Freeborn & Peters, LLP. The program will be followed by a reception with drinks and appetizers. All former Interns and Fellows are welcome to attend this complimentary program and reception. Please register by February 15th by e-mailing us.

Susan R. Sneider has worked as a lawyer and management consultant in the legal industry for over two decades. She created the first in-house legal department for Turtle Wax, Inc,, served as a management consultant for Hildebrandt International, and founded New Vistas Consulting. She is the well-know author of the American Bar Association publication, "A Lawyer's Guide to Networking." She has recently joined Freeborn & Peters LLP as its Director of Marketing & Business Development.

 

PILI Alumni Ambassadors: Reena Bajowala, Chair
This committee develops and implements the PILI Ambassador program by recruiting and training PILI Alumni to promote PILI programs and events at their law schools, places of employment and among other PILI Alumni, and to serve as mentors to the current year’s Interns and Fellows.
