| Each summer, PILI's Summer Educational Seminar series supplements our Interns' and Fellows' work experiences at their agencies, along with additional networking and advising opportunities. Our summer series covers a range of substantive law topics related to public interest law, as well as career development issues for attorneys interested in legal aid and pro bono. In addition to PILI Law Student Interns & Graduate Fellows, all law student interns in the Chicago area are invited to attend the PILI Seminars. |

Looking Back and Looking Forward: A Public Interest Law Perspective
Harvey Grossman, Legal Director of ACLU of Illinois and recipient of PILI’s 2012 Distinguished Public Service Award
Mr. Grossman, an experienced United States Supreme Court litigator and a leading voice in public interest law, will speak about his experiences charting a career in public interest law and provide an overview of the critical developments in the field of civil liberties and civil rights.
